After their victory over IG, Cloud9’s ADC Sneaky sat down with The Score Esports to talk about the victory, and about China’s performance at Worlds. They were thought of as the 2nd strongest region behind Korean going into Worlds, but only EDG has won a game since the start of groups. Even Sneak is shocked, and on the video we have on the next page, he goes into why its so shocking. For most fans it is a shock as well, nobody thought NA’s 3 seed had a chance, even against the LPL’s 3rd seed IG. But Cloud9 won today and Origen beat LGD yesterday, surprising fans and analysts alike, LGD then lost today to KT. These Chinese teams can into Worlds looking like favorites with EDG and LGD looking like finalist contenders.
